September

September 21st
Annual - Children: Cherishing and Challenging Conference
Eastfield Community College
Registration 8:00am - Classes 8:30-12:30
$25.00 for 4 clock hours (snack and handouts included)

Choose from four different workshops

*SIDS, Shaken Baby and Brain Development
*Special Needs Children in the Classroom

October

Multiculturalism at the Center
Saturday, October 26 10:00-12:00 & 1:00-3:00
Cost: $24.00

A variety of hands-on activities will show you how to make multicultural education an integral part of your everyday learning environment.


November

Baby Day
Saturday, November 16 10:00-12:00 & 1:00-3:00
Cost: $12.00 per session

Brain Development (10:00 - 12:00)

Learn what babies need most to encourage brain development.

SIDS, Shaken Baby and Baby Sign (1:00-3:00)
Judy Dillon
Keep your baby safe and learn how to communicate with babies and toddlers.


December

Join us for our annual "Day of Holiday Fun"
Saturday, December 14 10:00-12:00
Dawn Hallman, MA & Denise Collins, Ph.D.
$15.00 for this session or $20.00 per family

Parents, Teachers and Children will leave with lots of Holiday creations and ideas!


Parenting Classes
Cost: $33/person or $58/couple, plus $15 for book

Positive Parenting
Wednesdays 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (Six week class)
You may start this class on any Wednesday and continue for six weeks to complete the class.

This class covers Self-esteem, Child Development, Setting Limits, Consequences, Play, Listening, Communication, Anger, Feelings, Creativity and Challenging Behaviors.

Parenting classes can be presented at your location for churches, schools, etc.


Other Events

As part of D.A.P.E.'s continuing committment to birth and family, we are proud to have been chosen by Natural Beginnings to host Doula Training Workshops. These sessions are taught by Linda Worzer, BME, CD (DONA), AAHCC a DONA-approved trainer and are approved for the certification process that is outlined by DONA. Workshops are hosted at the D.A.P.E. facility, however, all communications regarding specifics about training and payment should be directed to Linda Worzer at 972-699-3921 or via e-mail .Or log on to www.naturalbeginningsonline.com
