Childbirth Classes
Planning for a beautiful event
Accelerated Birth Class. This series of four, 3
hour classes is designed to teach prepared childbirth at an accelerated
pace. Each class is a complete class is itself or can be taken as part
of the 4 week series or individually as you desire.
Class #1 - Labor and Birth
Class #2 - Breathing and Relaxation
Class #3 - Hospital Procedures, C-Section
Class #4 - More Breathing and Relaxation Practice, After Baby Comes,

Baby Care Basics. This 3 hour demonstration class
is designed to provide the pregnant, adoptive, or new parent with the
basic skills of caring for a newborn - bathing, clothing, diapering,
etc..
Birth, Baby Basics and Breastfeeding. This series
of six, 3 hour classes is offered to expectant parents and covers prepared
childbirth, baby care basics and breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding Basics. This 3 hour class focuses on breastfeeding benefits, preparation, techniques, as well as expressing and storing of breast milk. Husbands are encouraged to attend.
CPR:Adult/Child/Infant CPR & Emergency First Aid.
This 6 hour class covers CPR & obstructed airway management
for persons of all ages. It also covers management of emergency first
aid situations.
CPR Class Only - No First Aid
Classes available in Richardson at DAPE offices or at
Mesquite Community Hospital (CPR not available at Mesquite location).
